Fitted Fitness App

Fitted is a responsive web app that motivates people to workout no matter their schedule, skill level, or interests.

As a graphic designer, one of the things that really drew me to the user experience world was finding a way to marry my artistic eye and my analytical capabilities. This was a personal project I worked on to sharpen my UI skill set.

Problem Statement

Many people are interested in working out to get in shape, lead healthier lives, and try something new. With the rise of remote working, more people are living sedentary lives and find it difficult to incorporate fitness in their schedule. Some of the biggest deterrents to a regular exercise routine are lack of time, intimidation, and not being able to find a workout that fits people’s skill level.


Goal

Help people who are new or returning to fitness become healthier by creating a tool that allows them to search for short exercise routines, receive daily challenges, and track their progress.

User Persona & User Flows

Based upon the existing project brief, a user persona was created to ground the design process.


Rapid Prototyping & Testing

Opting for a lean UX approach, a low-fidelity prototype was created and tested on three participants.
The goal was to determine the usability of Fitted.

Next Steps

The success metric of Fitted would be based upon the average weekly progress of each user. The design will be considered successful if users are able to accomplish 50% of their targeted workout and step goals for at least three weeks.

Right now, the concept focuses on enhancing a person’s life through fitness, but this web app can easily grow to encompass more than just exercise routines. With more time and user research, Fitted has the potential to encompass other aspects of the health and fitness world.
